New Street Residence
Brighton | Victoria
2013
The New Street project is the renovation of an old 1960’s house, the underlying prerequisites of the client brief was to make the house more functional and to make it more spacious along with giving it a modern facelift.
By creating open plan living along with an extension to the front we were able to achieved the larger areas required. The use of features elements throughout the house from the entry columns, staircase, TV/fireplace unit and kitchen cabinetry along with an array of natural materials allows for a modern look without compromising on functionality and space.
The extension added to the front of the house serves as a multifunction space that can be used as an office space or another living area, separated by the entry, feature columns and a change in level it creates versatility and separation within an open plan design.
